At Elite Academy of Dance, we train and teach Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Classical Ballet.

RAD classical Ballet, what makes it different.

Founded in 1920 the Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education organizations. Their exams set standards in classical ballet. and they are therefore a global leader in Continuing Professional Development for dance.

Furthermore anybody wanting to pursue a career in dance, will probably be asked by stage schools and further training organization’s if they have been Royal Academy trained in addition to any other training.

At Elite Academy of Dance we are the only Royal Academy of Dance school of Classical Ballet in Inverclyde. All our teachers are fully qualified.

Registered Teacher

Before qualifying to teach Classical Ballet, teachers are normally Royal Academy of Dance trained themselves.  RAD Ballet Classes and Exams

RAD classes and exams are clearly defined and designed to build Classical Ballet technique and expertise from age 2½. Exams are split into the Graded syllabus and Vocational Exams.

The RAD Ballet Graded syllabus

Pre-Primary in Dance, Primary in Dance and Grade 1–8 provides a broad practical dance education and develops technical, musical and also performance skills .

Vocational RAD Graded examinations

RAD Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2 provide an in-depth study of ballet and in addition prepare students for a career in dance .
