Adult Dance Classes in Greenock

Adult Dance Classes are available from Elite Academy of Dance, Inverclyde’s only dedicated Classical Ballet School. If you have danced in the past or have always wanted to try Ballet. Elite Academy has classes to suit all. All the classes are held in our Private Studio. Our Adult Ballet Classes are great fun and can help improve your fitness profile. If your excited by the prospect of longer, leaner muscles and better posture, Ballet may hold more appeal than the local gym. In time Ballet will help improve your fitness.

The classes will also help with cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, endurance and posture. Therefore overtime strength will build from the small muscles in your feet to the larger muscles in your lower back and everything in between. The constant repetition of Classical Ballet will build considerable strength in your hips, lower legs, ankles and feet. All this while developing flexibility, balance, agility and coordination.  Ballet also works wonders for de-stressing after the strains of a busy life and is a great way to make new friends in a fun environment.

New Adult Dance Classes are available every Wednesday evening at Elite Academy of Dance. The classes are open to all, regardless if you have tried ballet in the past or not. As a result the classes are designed for everyone from age 20 and over. Each class lasts an hour and is completely based around Classical Ballet. The classes are held at Elite Academy’s studio at 15a Watt Street in Greenock.

Adult Dance Classes – Silver Swans

Elite Academy of Dance, Silvers Swans started in November 2011, with classes on a Tuesday and Thursday morning’s from 11am. These Adult Dance Classes  were the first Classical Ballet Classes for the over 50s in Scotland after a trial  by Scottish Ballet. The classes are welcome to all and we currently have students from their 50s through to their 80s. The classes have proved to be really popular with the Silver Swans becoming great friends and also an integral part of the School.
